Bellows before restoration

Bellows before restoration

Gary from Liberty Organs has been looking after this instrument for the past 8 years. This year we decided to act upon his expert advice and re-leather the rather old and decrepit bellows which were leaking badly. It was thought that they were approx 100+ years old and when removed, we certainly felt we had made the right decision based on Gary’s technical report, advice and estimate.

From the photographs taken during work at the church, it certainly was evident that the old bellows were past their best and in fact, they fell to pieces when removed from the organ.

We certainly are delighted that Gary Cook looks after our organ in such a professional way and we look forward to his continuing tuning and maintenance work at this Church.
